Berniece Works, 90, died March 18, 2009, in DeRidder, La. She was born May 9, 1918, in Red Bay, Ala., to Clovis and Roxie Moore Prestage. She lived most of her life in Red Bay. She was a former sales associate for Faust Drugs and Fashion Bazaar, both in Red Bay. She had been a resident of DeRidder, La., for the past year. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Red Bay.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay.
Survivors included one son, Bob Works (Donna) of DeRidder, La.; one granddaughter, Tina Marguerite Works Indest (Brent) of New Iberia, La.; one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold Works; and her brothers and sisters.
