Christine Vinson Morrow, 87, died May 7, 2009. She was born March 7, 1922, in Halltown to Oscar and Dessie Vinson. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a lifelong member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay. Burial was in Halltown Cemetery.
Survivors included four daughters, Linda Gober of Alton, Ill., Peggy Hendrix (Terry) of Baldwyn, Marilyn NeSmith (Jack) of Florence, Ala., and Sara Morrow of Red Bay; seven grandchildren, Tony Shewbart (Beverly) of Counce, Tenn., Jeff Shook (Sherry) of Belmont, Matthew NeSmith of Florence, Ala., Mark Johnson (Debra) of Birmingham, Ala., Mary Beth Al-Rouson (Bil Eal) of South Carolina, Cindy Gober of Alton, Ill., and Morgan Gray and Montanna Gray of Red Bay; one sister, Magdelene Page of Red Bay; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Houston Morrow; two daughters, Jane Shewbart and Pam Hardin; a grandson, Samuel Shewbart; her parents; two brothers, Elic Vinson and William Vinson; two half brothers, Lother Hester and Fred McNatt; three sisters, Lucille Morrow, Mildred Yarber and Myrtle McLemore; three half sisters, Mary Osborn, Blanche Lindley and Dot Bottoms.
