Golden – Woodie Kuykendall, 68, died May 22, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1940, in Belgreen, Ala., to Hillright and Iona Hellums Kuykendall. He was a foreman at TVA and attended Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala., with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Red Bay.
Survivors included two daughters, Karen Kuykendall of Ladson, N.C., and Sharon Williams of Red Bay; two sons, Ronnie Kuykendall and Craig Kuykendall, of Red Bay; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Fancher of Golden; one brother, Ray Kuykendall of Red Bay; one sister, Nellie Jean Strickland of Red Bay, Ala.; six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Jackie Hammock Kuykendall and Reba Fancher Kuykendall; and his parents.
