OK, I'll look in the Clayton Library here in Houston, TX. My gggrandfather is Jefferson Reynolds, b 1812 in SC, who married Lavinia Ricks, b 1827 in NC, in Greene Co., AL in 1847. They had 3 children, Elmira, William and Jefferson Jr, before they both mysteriously died in 1852 in Hebron Beat,Greene County, AL?. Elmira (my ggrandmother) and William came to Brazoria Co., TX in 1854 under the guardianship of James W. Dance. My search now is primarily centered on determining what happened to Jefferson and Lavinia (and Jefferson, Jr.)and where are they buried? (Also, John Watkins was the guardian of Lavinia Ricks before he died in 1836.) Any information will be greatly appreciated.
