Thank you for taking the time to look for that. I appreciate it. I was aware of the Ancestry information on the marriage. I am also aware of the listing in an index of marriages for the county. I need to go beyong these secondary sources to the primary source. I am hoping that someone will have access to the actual records. I want to know what types of records the county kept at that time, and what remain. For example, in the county I currently live in, the mariage records for that time period have only the names of the parties being married and the name of the person performing the marriage ceremony (J.P. or minister)--unless one or both were underage--and then there is a notation of the parent or gaurdian giving consent, and possibly a second record in the deed book recording the consent of the gaurdian. Anyone have the address to the courthouse/researchers/ etc who can access the original records? Thanks! Notify Administrator about this message?
