The Long Cemetery located near Akron in what is now Hale County contains the following graves:

Gabriel Long
wife, Mary Long
daughter, Hannah Long Bishop
daughter, Rebecca Long
possibly the unmarked grave of daughter Gracey Long May
Margaret Eddins

This cemetery is located on land owned by William W. Long on the 1858 historic map. The property was previously owned by Gabriel Long.

The only thing I can tell you about Lunsford Long (son of Gabriel Long) is that I've seen a couple of things implying a mental illness.

These Longs may not be yours--they came to Alabama from South Carolina.
