I have been trying to locate information about this Beavers family for some time now. They married in Greene County, Alabama and lived in Sumter County, Alabama. She was a daughter of Charles Stephens,Sr and Mary Holloman, who lived in Greene County, AL. James was born around 1811 and died around 1862 and married in 1837. Their children were Alois/Alvis, Henry/Harry, Martha, Sarah, Lafayette, Abner and maybe Suphronia--all born between 1843 and 1859. I believe there was a book written about this family or his ancestors around 1940, but have been unable to locate the name or Author of it. I would like to find his brothers, parents and any other prior information. I have most of the descendants information, but really want to keep going with this. If anyone has written a book about this family, then I would gladly like to purchase it.
