Aug 1849 Greene Co., AL; married 6 Apr 1836 Person County, NC , William Whitefield witness. Children: James S. abt 1839, Laura E. abt 1842, Eugenia E. abt 1844, John W. 11 OCt 1845 and Richard A. 20 May 1847. Richard and Laura Brown went to Texas 1850's with their aunt Emily Vanhook.
