Your memory serves you well. This is the Reuben Brown I'm looking for. John H. was his youngest son.
His other two sons were still in Barbour Co. in 1860.
My connection to this Brown is that I believe his daughter was Sarah Elizabeth and was m. to my gr.gr,
grandfather Seaborn O. Cureton of Henry Co.
You mentioned other Henry Co. Families. Can you name some (Browns or others) & tell me where I might check for them in the census for Polk Co.
