Is any of Jimmy and Josephine's children still living? I would love to talk to them. My grandmother,Lela, and Jimmy and Frank's grandfather were all siblings. I had talked to one of Jimmy's daughters several years ago. My Grandmother and Jimmy both died along with a sister, Belle, in less than a 2 month period. My grandmother was only 25 when she died.
The Mary Jackson that belongs to Josiah Jackson is not our Mary Alice. My Aunt (which is Lela's daughter) is married to Gabriel Jackson's son, Arlan Jackson. Gabriel is the brother to the Mary in the questionable census (I beleive they left out the b in Gabriel). That Mary Jackson's name was Mary Susan. She went by Suzie. Gabriel married Mary Lash, Suzie married Mary Lash's brother. Therefore, Uncle Arlan and Suzie's daughter Pauline were double first cousins.
Growing up, my Uncle Arlan was told that Mary Alice Jackson was a cousin to his father. If that is true, she belonged to one of Josiah's siblings. So.....if anyone should know, I feel that Uncle Arlan would had known if Mary Alice was his Aunt. Even though Mary Alice died before he was born, I feel like the family would had told him that his wife was his first cousin's child, which was never the case.
We all appreciate any help or suggestions that you may have.
