McBrooms in Limestone Co, 1800 - 1900
Posted by: Allen McBroom (ID *****9036) Date: August 22, 2008 at 15:25:00
  of 1089

In the 1830 Limestone Co., AL census, Frank (Francis) McBroom showed up. William R. McBroom was not to be found in the census in 1830.

In the 1840 Limestone Co., AL census, Frank and William R.cBtoom lived next door to each other.

In the Nov. 1850 Limestone Co. AL census, William R. McBroom lived next door to Alsey McBroom (Frank McBroom's widow).

(One month later, in the Dec. 1850 Morgan Co., AL census, Alsey and children had moved to Morgan County, AL, and no longer lived next door to William R. McBroom.)

The assumption is that Frank and William R. were brothers.

William R. McBroom had a couple of older McBrooms living with him, Sarah Ann (b 1819, AL) and Thomas H (b 1825, AL). Assumption is that Mary McBroom (b. 1813, TN) was William R.'s wife.

(This is a different Thomas H. from the one who has Enoch C. as a dad.)

Question 1: Were William R., Frank, Sarah Ann, and Thomas H. all McBroom siblings?

Question 2: Anyone know who Frank (Francis) McBroom's and William R. McBroom's parents were?

Question 3: Anyone know where any of these McBrooms are buried in Limestone Co.?
