I once saw an article about the burning of a Woodroof house in the 1920's or 1930's, but can no longer locate the typescript collection I found it in. Apparently someone has taken the only copy from ADAH in Montgomery, and I don't have the article, the "book," or the information to look for another copy.
As I recall, the house belonged to part of "Maj." Woodroof's family of Mooresville. The house sat on a gravel road that ran south, off the Huntsville-Decatur highway (Arrowhead Point road?). This road was just across the highway from Willis & Jim Hill's Hill Brothers' Dairy.
