I am asking for help in researching my Delony family who moved from Alabama to Arkansas around 1850. The family lived in the Muscle Shoals area in Alabama, and some members married with Fennel, Turner, and King family members, among others. I am particularly interested in 1.) Dr. James H. Delony, who was accused in Alabama of shooting a preacher, Moses Stroude Morris -- but who apparently was not convicted and lived an exemplary life around Mineral Springs, Ark., after moving there; 2.) my great-great-grandfather William I. Delony, who disappeared from Garrison, Texas, about 1865 and who is a mystery to me afterward -- where/when did he live and die? I have been told to look for him around the Huntsville, Alabama, area, where he may have lived with his sister, Lucy Delony Carraway. 3.) William I.'s son Algernon and family, and his son Aldigeon who apparently lived in Little River County, Arkansas. Thank you in advance if you can help me with this information. And I will be glad to share my information with you, if you wish. My email is tx_allreds@yahoo.com.
