guin - Ilse Susanna Hester, 82, Guin, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at her residence. Born in Ginsheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich Wilhelm and Berta Merz Seib. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1956 and had been a resident of Guin since 1955. She was a secretary and teacher ’s aide for Marion County High School in Guin. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Guin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gerald Hester.
Funeral services were held Aug. 7, from the Guin First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Guin City Cemetery.
Survivors included her daughter - Margaret Anne (Mike) Kannensohn, Lexington, Ky.; sons - Jerry (Sue) Hester, Guin, Freddy (Suzanne) Hester, Florence, Ky., and Bryan (Mary) Hester, Lexington, Ky.; nine grandchildren; brother - Willi (Irma) Seib, Ginsheim, Germany; and other extended family in Germany.
