Hazel Mobley Sheffield, Hamilton, died July 30, 2008, at the North Mississippi Medical Center-Hamilton. Born in Bluff, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Virgie Vernon Mobley. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Club. She was a faithful member of the Hamilton First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Sheffield; son, Danny McDaniel; and granddaughter, Shelly McDaniel. Funeral services were held Aug. 2, 2008, from the Hamilton First Baptist Church, with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Survivors included her daughters - Emma Jean (Gene) Sanderson and Nancy (Dale) Wilbanks, both of Hamilton; grandchildren - Allen (Julie) Sanderson, Birmingham, Teresa (Mark) Hammitte and Scotty (Leslie) Sanderson, both of Hamilton, Dana (Greg) Peoples, Winfield, and Chris (Ashton) Wilbanks, Starkville, Miss.; great-grandchildren - Zachary Hammitte, Florence, Jennifer Hammitte, Tuscaloosa, Ann Elizabeth and Collins Davis, both of Winfield, Harris and Hannon Sanderson, both of Birmingham, and Peyton and Gracie Sanderson, Hamilton; and special family friend - Willa Dean “Jake” Moore.
