pensacola, fla. - Dalton Lee Burnett, 86, Pensacola, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at an assisted living facility in Pensacola, Fla. Born in 1922, in Delmar, he was the son of the late Jerry and Georgia Ann Dodd Burnett. He was a graduate of Brilliant High School and later moved to Michigan where he was employed with a chemical company. After retirement he moved to Florala in 1979. He enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and golfing. In 2003, he moved to Pensacola.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Burnett.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 25, from the Randy Lawrence Memorial Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home of Winfield, with burial in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens.
Survivors included his sons - Alan Lee (Barbara) Burnett, Zephra Hills, Fla., and James Dalton Burnett, Holton Lake, Mich.; daughters - Patricia Burnett (Jack) Koby, Pinckney, Mich., and Teresa F. Grant, Pensacola, Fla.; brothers - Cohen, Walter, Jerry and David Burnett, all of Birmingham, and Billy Burnett, Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters - Carolyn Norris, Birmingham, and Edith Tittle, Wyandotte, Mich.; grandchildren - Billy Dalton Stamper, Lisa Sue McNeill, Tammy Holley, Allan Burnett, Jr., and Kim Koby; and nine great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Funeral Home of Winfield directed the services.
