Cecil H. Fennel, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton, Ala. She was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Alabama to Archie and Pearlie Johnson Humphries. She was a seamstress for 40 years and a Baptist.
Services were at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala., with burial in Berry Cemetery in Vina, Ala.
Survivors included her grandchildren, Connie Hicks of Fort Worth, Texas, Gary Swain of Morganton, N.C., Donald Swaim of Ohio, Terry Swaim, Darrell Tucker, LaKisha McClellan and James Fennel, all of Texas, and Lynette Elliott of Missouri; several great-grandchildren; a cousin, Randall Palmer of Hamilton, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
