Hamilton - Horace McCarley, 77, died Nov. 1, 2008, at his residence. Born on Aug. 29, 1931, in Marion County, he was the son of Erlou McCarley and the late Hubert McCarley. He was retired from the state highway department.
Funeral services were Nov. 4, from the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Hamilton City Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife - Rose McCarley; daughters - Terri Johnson, Hamilton, and Anne (Ron) Shady, Killen; sister - Anita “Cricket” (L.O.) Boyett, Hamilton; nephew - Keith (Cathy) Boyett, Axis; great-niece - Claire Boyett, Axis; and a host of friends and relatives.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
