Annie B. Gann McCarley, 78, died Jan. 7, 2009, at her home. She was a native of Sugar Bend, Ala., and a longtime resident of Millburn and Zion, Ill. She was active in her churches, her husband's work and her children's schools. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, tutor and friend.
Services were at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Survivors included her husband of 57 years, Lyndel T. McCarley Sr.; two sons, Tim (Jody) of Senatobia and Robin (Tracy) of Prairieville, La.; one sister, Doris Guntharp (J.C.) of the Tilden community; one brother, George Gann (Doris) of Fulton; grandchildren and spouses, Chris and Leah Nieman, Rob and Sarah Nieman, Thomas McCarley, Jason McCarley, Sidney McCarley, Nathan McCarley, Rachel McCarley and Megan Ann McCarley; great-grandchildren, Jade McCarley, Steven Holland, Jaxon Harbin, Luke Nieman and Natalie Nieman; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith and Lois Pearce Gann.; and a son, Lyndel T. "Butch" McCarley Jr. and wife, Linda Sterbenz McCarley.
