Servuces fir Elgen Lewis Middleton, farmer and sawmill worker who resided east of Amory, were held March 10, 1965 with burial in New Hope Cemetery with Pickle Funeral Home in charge. He was 63. Mr. Middleton died March 8 in Gilmore Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks. He was born and reared in Marion County, Ala., and was married in 1926 to Miss Bessie Thornton. He was a member of Splunge Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors included his wife; two sons, Edward of Littleton, Co., and James L. of Cedartown, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Frederick of Zion, Ill.; six brothers, Deward of Tupelo, Virgil and Argie of Bexar, Ala., Stone, Elise and Homer of Zion, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Ola Rutledge of Zion, Mrs. Audrey Peoples of Huntsville, Ala., and Mrs. Ora Snow of Fulton; four grandchildren.
