James Thompson Hughes b. 5 May 1831 in Habersham Co GA, retruned to Pendleton Dist / Anderson Co SC with mo. and then at about 17 went to Pickens Co. AL where he spent his life. Mary Jane Mitchell was b. 27 Apr, 1841. in Pickens , AL.
I see that you got that information from the 1870 census, which I have.
I have a great deal of information on Hughes, but I have nothing else on the parents, brothers and sisters etc of ASA M. MITCHELL born in LIVINGSTON, KY. There were hundreds of Mitchells in Ky ini the early 1800s. I need another seed of information to connect him to someone. Do you have anything? Thanks, Sandi
