In 1830 Hope Hull I find William Henry Bozeman born 1802 married to Martha Hill. He was the son of Peter Bozeman of Darlington SC and Sarah Brown. William has many descendants in the Montgomery area - when he died in 1847 his estate was filed in the Probate Office, indicating the names of his children and his widow had moved her family to Ramer near the rest of the Hill clan who also came from Darlington.

William and his parents are buried in the Hope Hull area and the grave of his brother Jesse Bozeman born 1793 has a broken tombstone on the property in Hope Hull off McLean Road, by Jesse's daughter Lacy Bozeman Carter, the wife of Thomas R. Carter, a Civil War Soldier. This land is listed as Stokes-Carter Cemetery in the Alabama Cemetery Preservation webpage and owned by Newell at this time.

Peter owned a plantation marked on the archives map where a Shiloh Church was located. As a revolutionary soldier now recognized by the DAR he should have a nice tombstone but his grave has not yet been found.
