Hi again, Ms Jenkins--Two of Hezekiah Strom's brothers were also in the Confederate military. [records at the archives in Montgomery]
Joseph T. Stromjoined Company L of the 15th Alabama Infantry Regiment at Perote on March 11, 1862.
William Strom joined the 1st Alabama Cavalry October 18, 1864; surrendered at Greensboro, North Carolina; was parolled in 1865; and took the oath of allegiance to the USA August 31, 1865 in Pike County.
Also, the husband of their sister Nancy Strom, William A. Martin was a First Sergeant in the Dixie Eagles, which became Company L of the 3rd Alabama Infantry Regiment.He was wounded at Malvern Hill in Virginia--part of the "7 Days Battle"--and was discharged. Back home, W. A. Martin became a 2nd Lt.in the Macon County Militia until the end of the war.
