W. A. Jones is listed in the section of men who served the Confederacy with other States.....who were actually from Pike Co. AL
"Farrells Artillery (Georgia)"
Jones, W. A.
bjs' note:Check out the discussion in my prior post to Lee re:Researching in Elbert Co, GA.It's obvious that there was a close GA connection with this family.

A "W. B Jones" is listed as an active pall bearer for the Alonza Boutwell, wife and 3 children family. All died in a tragic accidental death due to heating with a gas stove. The family was from Troy AL, but died in a "Texas Town" (un-named in my article) All died ages given as 35, 29 (wife) Children Helen 9, Gerald 7 and Doris 5.They had moved and planned to begin building a home there. They had ordered 2200 Citrus trees to be set out on that new land....and planned $3000 for building their home.
W. B. Jones is the first name of a long list of pall-bearers for this family in Dec 1928 at Center Ridge Cemetery.I don't see any family name connections at a quick glance at this longer article.

As I said in an earlier post, you really need info on William A. Jones Estate Settlement/Guardianship matters:
Book 5, Pages 810-834, 839-881, & 883
There is an entry for an Amanda Jones-Guardianship.Leroy Jones was appointed guardian on Sept 21, 1880 of Amanda M.,Gilbert & Levie A. Jones, minors.I don't know if this is your Amanda or not. There are several Jones families that had guardianship papers filed, many from GA "Jones" families.Interesting.....
