The Alabaster Surname can be traced back to the early 1500. Reasearch carried out by the Secretary of the Alabaster Society reveals that the Alabaster Family were very prominent in Suffolk and have connections today in the UK, USA, South Africa, New Zealand (Where lake Alabaster is named after Daniel Alabaster) and Australia. An interesting family story............
