I am not familiar where Encarnacion is, but this is very curious. My grandfather was born in Mexico and he immigrated to the US at probably 50+. What was your grandma's name? Valle de Guadalupe is in the northern region of Jalisco, known as Los Altos de Jalisco (but short people live there too). It is nearer to the areas of Leon and Aguascalientes and San Juan de los Lagos. Greetings.
