I am descended from Juan de Alba who was born in 1680 in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico and his wife Maria Baldivia who was born in 1684 in the same town.
They were married in 1705, also in Aguascalientes.
Their son Bernardo de Alba was born in 1708 in Aguascalientes, he married Efigenia Martin(es) on June 8, 1726 in the same town. Efigenia was also born in 1708 in the same city.
Efigenia's parents were Andres Martin(es) and Maria Lucia de Chavez.
Efigenia and Bernardo were the parents of Mariana de Alba Martines who was born on January 2, 1734 in Aguascalientes and married Juan Antonio Romo De Vivar on February 6, 1752.
I hope to meet people with these ancestors and fill in some of the blanks in my family tree.
You, my fellow subscribers have been so helpful, bringng thousands of Romos, Ramirez and other members into my tree.
I got a terse note from a genealogy.com webmaster that I posted TOO MANY messages!
Could you believe that? There hasn't been a post on this forum in years. Many others are just as dead, and I spark several forums back to life and that's the thanks I get. They delete my posts.
I think they should back off and let us Latinos find our ancestors as only we can do!
I get all kind of notices from genealogy.com to buy this, or that product. Even though I have indicated many times that I don't want to receive those emails:(
You might see this most elsewhere, but there is a reason. I don't write just to see my name!
Best of luck to all of you on your family searches.
Remember "We don't need no stinkin' badges!"
