Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
In what time period are you looking? There were numerous Albach, Allebaugh, Aulabaugh, Oulebaugh's in Frederick Co., MD, and in Morgan/Berkeley Co., (W)VA, in the late 1700's and early 1800's, that were from PA. There seem to be as many ways to spell it as there were people who heard it. In my line there is a story of the five orphans of Jacob Aulebaugh who were "cheated" out of their inheritance by a step-father, in the 1830's. The dispute divided the family and the four sons split up, some changing the spelling of the name.
