My mother was an Albaugh. Soloman and Catherine (Boyer) Albaugh were my 4th great-grandparents. I descend from their son John Peter Albaugh, James Wilson Albaugh, Franklin Grant Albaugh, Norman Ellsworth Albaugh and [my mom] Rose Ann (Albaugh) Tarr. The Albaugh's settled in Forest County, Pa. They were well known and settled on which is still known as Albaugh Hill. Soloman was from Frederick County, Maryland. He went to New York first and then settled in Pa., where he died. Soloman had two sons.. John Peter and William. Not much is known on Williams family. John Peter Albaugh has many descendants all over northwestern Pa. Look in Forest County, Crawford County and Venango County. Many people are researching the Albaugh lineage. Good Luck... Ruth
