William Henry ALBAUGH
Posted by: Nancy Lorz Date: August 11, 2001 at 07:41:30

Recently, I have received Military records for William Henry ALBAUGH. (also spelled Aulbaugh) According to the records, he was born in Pittsburgh Oct. 1843. He evidently was living in Meadville, Crawford Co. PA as that is where he enlisted in the 199th Inf. Regt. Co. F. Paul and John Albaugh also served in this same regiment. W.Henry was killed in the Civil War and is buried in the National Cemetery in Hampton VA. I cannot fit this man into any of the Albaugh families that I have. There were several Henrys, in fact, Paul & John had a brother Henry, but he lived into his 90s. Any information or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. TIA Nance
