Dear Cindy
My name is Harry Joe Albaugh. I live in Mt.Pleasant,Michigan
My fathers name was Harry Charles Albaugh on his birth certificate. His father was Charles Harry Albaugh maybe borned Aug. 28,1888 - died June 1972 in Belmont Ohio ? and Mother was Lillian (Lamp)Albaugh of Charleston W.Va. She was orginally from Ritcie Co. W.Va. I never new my grandfather, mainly because my father Harry C. died when I was 7 years old in 1960. This side of the family has never been clear. I was told my grandmother may have gave birth without being married to Charles Harry Albaugh. Don't know to much more, but would love to find out. My grandmother ran a bording house on Goshorn Street in Charleston, across from the Armory. She died in 1978 and is buried in Oil City Michigan. My mother and father moved to Michigan in 1937 from Joe's Creek W.Va. because of the depression to work in the Oil Boom in Central Michigan.I have a brother Robert Charles Albaugh borned in W.Va. 1935 who resides in Oil City, Michigan. He is retired from the Dow Chemical Company of Midland, Mi
Hope to hear from you.
Sincerely,
H.Joe Albaugh
