Hester/Hattie/Hettie Albaugh and Charles M. Randall

I have added information to the Obit to identify each child the females were listed only as "Mrs." and I also added the wives of the sons.

This Obit was found in my Grandmother and Grandfathers things.

Obituary

Charles M. Randall

Charles M. Randall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Randall (Mary Olney), was born May 6, 1858, in Gerald (Girard), Branch County, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Hester Albaugh in 1878, to this union were born five children: Matie,(never married) at home, Mrs. Claude Heron (Minnie Randall) of Merrill, Mrs. Harry Gilmore (Mona Randall) (deceased of Detroit), Mrs. Harry Walter (Maude Randall) of Owosso and Charles Randall (Susie Melvin) of Flint. These children were left motherless at an early age, and he was again united in marriage in 1894 to Mrs. Martha Field (maiden name Henning, widow of Edmond Field) of Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, Michigan who preceded him in death on December 2 1924.

To this union was born three children: Ray, (Hazel L. Boist)of Elsie: Edd of Ann Arbor (Zora Fox) and Clyde of Lansing (Blanche Rowlatt).

He was a kind and loving father to six stepchildren: George Field (Elba Johnson), Mrs. Grant Randall (Cora Field) and Mrs. Ralph Woodard (Lydia Field) of Elsie, Mrs. Geo. McClintock (Mary (Mae) Field) of Detroit, Mrs. Roy Marmion (Nora Field)of Ovid and Mrs. George Phelps (Grace Field)of Laingsburg.

He also leaves several grandchildren three brothers and a host of relatives and friends who greatly mourn their loss.

He was a consistent member of the Methodist Church in Elsie for several years and is greatly missed, for he was always true to his church and his God.

The funeral was held from the Methodist church in Elsie and was conducted by Rev. F. E. Chamberlain.

The interment was at Ford Cemetery.

Charles died January 13, 1925

Charles and Hester/Hattie/Hettie married Dec 25 1878 in Chapin Saginaw Co. Michigan. Charles and Martha married April 29 1893 Fairfield Twp Shiawassee Co. Michigan

Charles Manly Randall didn't marry Sadie Firm.
There is a Charles "W" Randall who married a Sadie J. Firm in Danby Ionia Michigan on June 12 1887.

There is a Sadie F. Randall 1886-1967 buried in Maple Rapids Gratiot County Michigan in Payne Cemetery who is married to Charles P. Randall 1883-1918 also buried in this Cemetery. I have not spent any time to see who this Charles P. Randall is the son of but this Charles P. is not the son of Charles Manly Randall.

The children were very young when they lost their Mother (Hester). My Grandfather Charles P. Randall 1890-1963 put Martha as his Mother on his Marriage license she is the woman who raised him and I understand why he may have done this. But she was not his Biological Mother. My Grandfathers death records show Hester Albaugh as his Mother as it should.

Charles Manly Randall's brother Grant married Charles Step-daughter Cora Field.

Philip Albaugh 1830 - 1905 Hester's father is buried in Ford Cemetery Banister Michigan also. Philip's parents are Daniel Albaugh and Susannah Clingenpeel.

Can anyone help with who Daniels parents are?

Thank You, Pat
