I have done Civil War research and learned the same things. John is my GG Grandfather and I originally suspected Wm. H. as being his brother, but learned he is not. Since John & Paul's line immigrated through the Port of New York and then went to Pittsburgh for a couple of years, and since W. Henry was from Pittsburgh, and since he obviously had a Meadville connection (later the home of John and Paul), I wonder if he may have been their cousin? This might imply Wm. H's parents lived in Pittsburgh and had immigrated there.
