According to my records:

John William Albaugh was born 30 Jan 1908 in Carroll Co. OH.He was married to Catherine Simmons on 4 Apr 1837 in Ohio and died 8 Jul 1889 in Cedar County, Iowa.

He was the son of John Peter Albaugh and Sarah Leah Cook (b1771, d bef 1816). He was born 1767 in Frederick Co. MD, married bef 1791 in Frederick, MD and died 7 Apr 1848 in Carroll Co. OH.

John Peter was the son of John Gerhardt (George) Albaugh and Anna Marie (Possibly Pittenger). She was born abt 1728-30 and died enroute from PA to OH in approx 1802. J. Gerhardt was born 8 Mar 1728 in Flammersfeld, Germany married about 1760 and died 13 Feb 1789 in Bedford Mホ.

John Gerhardt was the son of Zachariah (1), the immigrant and Anna Dim,eda Schumann (she b. 14 Sep 1698 in Eychen, Germany, d 1773 in Frederick Co., MD.) Zachariah was born 1698 in Ahlbach, Rhein-Pfalz, Germany, emigrated to this country and landed in Philadelphia Sept. 23,. 1734 with his family.

Three more generations available from Germany if you desire. coimplete Family group Sheets are available also. I prefer handling such extensive information by Postal Service.

John William was also married to Rebecca Lucas and the following children you have listed in the Albaugh-Simmons marriage should be in the Albaugh Lucas marriage.

I have been to the gravesite of John William and Catherine Simmons while living some 48 years in Iowa. I have written a book about his son Daniel (my wife's grandfather) and his four years in the Civil War.

I would certainly like to have any descendants of John William that you might have. I have catalogued and domputerized some 30,000 descendants of the immigrant Zachariah.

Come back.
