Hi Katrina,
I was raised in Mohawk and still live in Hancock County. I descend from James H Murphy and research Murphy/Wilson genealogy since retiring. I owned horses when I was young and living at home and I have hauled lots of hay out of William P (Willy) Albea's barn just north of Mohawk. I remember he and Dora well. At that time, little did I know that his mother was Etta J Murphy. In fact, researching genealogy, I learned that my gg-grandfather, James H Murphy was married to Elizabeth Evans in 1836 and they had two children, Rachel E and John P Murphy. John P married Flora Clara Wilson and they had six children, Etta J being one of them. The biography lists her as Effie J and the obit lists her as Etta J. I think her middle name was Jane. If you descend from William H Albea and are interested in Etta's Murphy line, please let me know. I just recently came into old old family pictures of John P and Clara Wilson Murphy's family.
