Frederick Albert, Orange Co, NC, Oct 1771 estate inventory
Posted by: Mona Knight (ID *****8996) Date: December 05, 2004 at 12:43:43

I have found record of my ancestor in early Orange Co., NC, listed as a debtor to the estate of FREDERICK ALBERT who died in Orange Co. and whose estate inventory is recorded October 1771.

The inventory indicates that Mr. Albert was apparently very "well to do" and was financially able to loan funds to his friends and neighbors. There are more than 30 men listed as owing money to the estate of Mr. Albert, including my ancestors Robert Paceley (Paisley) and Thomas Major.

Any info about Frederick Albert of Orange Co., NC, would be appreciated. The inventory lists administrators of his estate as David RAINEY and Mary ALBERT.

Thanks.
