My grandfather was born and raised in Ilocos Sur, near Vigan. His name was Patricio Alcantara. He emigrated to the U.S. in the 1920's. The name was Anglicized by dropping an "a". I know very little about the Phillipines and our family history there, unfortunately. Anyone have any relatives from there?
