Aloha & Welcome to this new Alcoseba Family Genealogy Forum. My name is Christopher D. Green I am 39 years old and live in Liberty Farms, Solano County, California, USA and I am researching the Alcoseba Family Surname.

My grandfather (who spent his formative years in Hawaii) as public record, was:

ALCOSIBA, KENNETH FLORENCIO ALEJADO
Birth Date: 23 Feb 1915
Birthplace: PHILIPPINES, (Carcar, Cebu)
Baptismal: 03 Mar 1915 Sta. Catalina Parish, Carcar Cebu, Philippines
Death Date: 17 Nov 1994
Death Place: CONTRA COSTA COUNTY CALIFORNIA USA
Mother's Maiden Name: ALEJADO, (Maria Alesna)
Father's Surname: ALCOSIBA/ALCOSEBA (Moesis)

My Great-Grandfather (as public record):

ALCOSIBA, MOESIS (Was born as ALCOS E BA)
Birth Date: 25 Nov 1887
Birthplace: PHILIPPINES
Death Date: Jun 1969
Last known residence: Hilo, Hawaii County, Hawaii, USA
Mother's Maiden Name: GABINETE, (Holiano)
Father's Surname: ALCOSEBA (Alegandor)

They migrated to the then U.S. Territory of Hawaii shortly after my GrandFather Kenneth's birth, and worked in the sugar cane fields and plantations. When they arrived aparently the family last name was misspelled &/or changed from Alcos E ba to Alcos I ba. I understand also that the spanish spelling of the name is often AlcoC eba & Alcose V a & the Portuguese: Alco C a V a.

I would appreciate any information/data/lore you can share with me on the Alcoseba's/Alcosiba's no matter how minute or insignificant it may seem to you.

I am financially limited to performing my research online through the Internet. (Otherwise I would travel back to Hawaii and the Philippines!)

I am especially interested in finding my Great-GrandFather Alegandor Alcoseba's roots in the Philippines. (His relative's name's, his marriage/birth/death certificate(s), etc.)

Please forward this message and it's contents on to anyone who may be willing and able to assist me in my Family Surname's, Genealogies, and Historical studies. I would be tremendously grateful! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Mahalo Nui Loa(Thank you very much),

Christopher Daniel Green(e)
