This posting is not really in relation to your Daniel Alderton but a lot of Aldertons came from the Suffolk area and the fact is that a relative of mine would have been born around the same time as you mentioned in your message 1790 and the name Daniel is a favourite family name used several times in my family tree and just might prove a connection to my family. John Alderton transported to Australia on 24 March 1838 married a Mary Ann Coffee in 1840 at Portland Head NSW she also transported to Australia 23 September 1835.I thought perhaps as Daniel appears in your family line you may have come across a John Alderton in your research that was transported or travelled to Australia in 1838.
If not could you keep your eyes open for me.
