ALDERTONs from Langham Clochester Dedham anywhere in Essex

Looking for some background on where my relatives came from. The last known relative was born and bred in Langham Essex 1805 with the marriage of John Alderton and Elizabeth Smith in Langham Essex. However the family of Aldertons seem to have moved around a bit Colchester, Dedham, Mayland, Dunrow but where did they originally come from Suffolk or Norfolk? Also would anyone have any information on where John and Elizabeth had their family as I can find no record of children and I know they had at least one my gggrt grand father John Alderton born 1806 but where?
