Mary Alex- Massachusetts

Dear Linda:

If you provide me with more information, I might be able to help you. Most persons in New England bearing the surname "Alex" are descendants of the French Canadian "Alix" family, whose progenitor, Toussaint Alix came to Quebec from France in the 1750's. I have a database of his descendants. What was Mary's father's name? Was he born in Canada or U. S.? When was Mary born? Would be happy to help and/or add your family to my database if we are connected....There is a published ALIX family history (done in 1930's) available at the Family History Library (here in Salt Lake) and at least one New England repository that I know (The American French Genealogical Society in Woonsocket, RI). Hope this may be of help.

Sincerely, Ron Bernier
