William ALEXANDER, adult of Casham, Oxon., in 1640

  of 11504

William ALEXANDER was an executor and residual beneficiary in the Will of Mrs Anne MYNDE of 1640, when she was a widow of St Botolph without Aldersgate, London, proved 1646.

Anne MYNDE nee KIRTON was chr 1581 in Burghfield, parents John KYRTEN & Alice BURTON (father Griffin), who m 20/10/1567 in Bradfield, about 5 miles from Burghfield.

Anne had a son Roger MYNDE or MINDE, which may also have been her husband's name.

In her Will, Anne refers to: "William Alexander of Casham in the County of Oxon whome I call father". Please does anyone know who he might have been, and of any links with the KIRTON or MYNDE families? I would guess that he was b around or before the mid-1500s, probably being older than Anne.

Many thanks. Jay
