Ancestors of Francis Alexander and Margaret Ann Vickers, Blount County, Tennesse

I'm am looking for help in correctly identifying the parents of Francis Alexander, born 17 December, 1809, in TN and his wife Margaret Ann Vickers, born 24 February, 1818 in AL.

Francis and Margaret are my gggreat-grandparents. My line runs through their daughter Matilda Lucinda Alexander, born 2 December, 1839 in Blount County, TN.

I have found conflicting information regarding Francis' father and I want to make sure I am researching the correct Alexander's before I continue.

I have been told that my Francis is the son of Francis Alexander, born circa 1764 and Jane Adair born circa 1777.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
