I am descended from Samuel and Mary Taylor Alexander thru
their son, Andrew. Andrew is a brother to Francis.

He was known as Francis ("Carroll's Delight") Alexander b. 1693, who married Jane Blair ca 1718 in Frederick Co., MD. As I recall, a descendant married another Blair and the two are often confused.

I show that a Martha Blair was m. to a Samuel Alexander b.
1717, m. about 1740 in New Castle, DE. Martha Blair b.ca 1708 in NC and Jane b. 1694 in Ireland. I show they were sisters. The line from Francis s/o Samuel and Mary Taylor Alexander, and Jane Blair, lead to Andrew Lamar Alexander, Jr., gov. of TN. I think there is another Blair in there somewhere.

Francis' brother, Andrew, m. Jane/Jean (McKnitt) Alexander,
and their son, Benjamin, is my line.
