"Alexander, Brydie and co. of Richmond; Milton"
Just as a follow-up note to this posting, "Alexander" is not a last name in this particular case.
This is referring to the merchant firm of Alexander Brydie & Company of Richmond and Milton (Albemarle County).
Alexander Brydie died in 1800 at Warm Springs, VA.
