Sorry for the delay but a virus wiped out our windows OS and we had to have everything redone. Today the first opportunity for me to responded. Yes, lets get together on information about the Alfs family. The line I'm searching is through Dorotha Jean Alfs (1928), father, Courtland Geoge Alf's, (5/15/1895), George Alfs (2/21/1863. I have an article written by kathryn Alfs titled "My Father" whom I assume was written about Courtland. I also have a typed Obituary of Gerd Alfs, a native of Hanover, Germany, born in 1824. Only daughters mentioned are under their husband's names. You can e-mail me personally at jrlhihi1@juno.com or post here on the message boards. Hope we have the same Gerd Alfs from IL. as I noticed someone else has a Gerd from elsewhere.
