Family history has that he was born on the ship that brought him and his parents to this country in 1813, maybe 1814. Both of his parents died on the vovage and he was raised by a man and woman known as Aunt Junie and Uncle Potts. He was supposed to have had papers showing that he had lands in France, but he lost it. This was reported to me by another cousin who had been told about the land in France by Humphrey, David's son. Therefore, we know nothing
about parents or any siblings. I doubt that there was any siblings.

I have a good deal of info on David and Mary Scott Crowson Alfred children. I now have some ancestors of Mary. Please contact me and I will be happy to share.
