The Harmonas & Mary Craymore Alkire FG stands in disrepute! There is no evidence Harmonas (husband of Lydia Patton) was in VA before 1750. That material cited was never more than an unconfirmed report, that made it into print twice during the first decade of the last century. No one has been able to confirm there EVER was a Harmonas or a Mary Craymore in that generation. In fact misinformation there is without doubt why no genealogical progress on earlier generations has been made during the last century! Some surfers are unhappy with spam, or hoaxes, they are sometimes troublesome, but we genealogists have to concern ourselves with proliferation of bad genealogy. I too shared this stuff around, but the historical records simply don't support it. :o) Good hunting!
