Hi, John,

We have found that the "sounding-out" of our name seems to be a bit infected with "area-linguistics", <BG> i.e., it depends on where in the country you are. In the West Coast, we pronounce it Al like Albert, -kire
like fire. The folks on the east of the Mississippi seem to go with the Al like All, -kire like erie. That one sounds foreign to me, mine sounds strange to them. All I can say is before computers made their mass entrance, our name used to get butchered so badly by label makers it wasn't funny. Or maybe it was good practice for Soundex.
Your Michael does sound like a good match for
ours, you might want to bounce your idea off Carl Porter (rosebud@gtec.com) to get his opinion.
Hope this helps, & have fun with it all!!
