Hello Janet.

I'm delighted to hear from an Allaire cousin! I have six generations of Allaires beginning with Guillaume, who died about 1691 at Ile d'Orléans. My most recent Allaire ancestor is Marie Allaire, wife of Malcolm Fraser, who arrived in Québec prior to 1759 with Wolfe's forces. He was an officer in the 78th regiment(Frasers Highlanders)and distinguished himself on the Plains of Abraham.

I will be happy to compare/share/exchange data with you. And I would like to learn more about the book by Violette Allaire to which you refer. Feel free to contact me at my e-mail address.

Regards. Patrick
